I have about 2 baby molars left, but not the wisdom teeth, and my dentist said that If I take them out, there MAY be a chance that the permanent teeth won%26#039;t grow out.....what if I don%26#039;t take them out and just elave them there? What if I take them out? ALso, he said that since I%26#039;m 13, all my permanent teeth should ahve grown out by now, so that%26#039;s why he thinks they might not grow out.

The only way to answer this question is to see an x-ray and it would be preferable to have a panoramic x-ray. If your dentist does not have this kind of equipment, ask if he can send you to an oral surgeon or orthodontist just to get the x-ray taken. If he says he won%26#039;t send you, just go yourself!

The yellow outline show you the approximate area that would be covered by a really good full mouth series. Everything outside the yellow border would only show up in a panoramic x-ray. The FMX may be a bit sharper, but it is quite limited in diagnostic scope compared to a panoramic x-ray. This is an actual x-ray from my office and it%26#039;s typical of my panoramic films.
Pros: Much broader area covered
Cons: Possible loss of detail, although I am quite happy with my films

That is horrible! But first of all...are you absolutely positive that he actually severed a nerve? Maybe you are just numb from the pain of the extraction. I remember when I got my wisdom teeth out I couldn%26#039;t feel anything for like two weeks and then feeling eventually returned after everything healed. If he did sever a nerve then there is no way of getting it back...but hey, it might be a good thing, you can get punched in the jaw and won%26#039;t feel it! You need to go see this dentist again, and see what%26#039;s up. (I bet he is probably so scared that you might sue him now!)

1) To get your teeth professionally cleaned by a dentist (scaling) first so that the whitening process is not sitting on a layer of tartar!
2) All Whitening processes are temporary lasting from 2 wks to 6 mths usually and don%26#039;t put down big bucks for laser whitening unless you are loaded, cos its temporary.
3) To keep your teeth reasonably clean for good, avoid tea, dark juices, coffee (like thats gonna happen!) and brush at least twice a day once morning (usual) but more importantly at night.

about 2 weeks ago my dentist called 4 my 6 mth check up. i already knew that i had 1 tooth that was infected and needed to be pulled so i called my insurence 2 c if they covered a surgeon.they said only if its 1 that my dr referred me 2.they told me my dr has to refer me 2 ne kind of dr.i was told that after a certain point in ur pregnancy u cant have ne dental work done no matter what.i have a hole in 1 tooth and it really hurts. i did make an appt. w/ my dentist last mon. and they scheduled me in for the tooth 2 get pulled. i asked if they had 2 talk 2 my dr and the recepcionist even said yes they do. they cant give me novacane tylenol nothing w/o her permission 1st. can he still work on me w/o talking to my dr. if something were 2 b wrong w/ my baby when hes born could i sue my dentist if he does perform any thing on me without my drs permission

And besides...it beats the heck out of suffering tooth pain!
