Can my dentist work on my teeth without permission from my dr?
they office will call and talk to your doctor. If the doctor gives everything and okay then they will go on with getting it pulled, if she says no they will contact you and let you know. I would suggest calling and asking your doctor about it just to make sure everything is right. If the doctor gives everything an okay and somthing goes wrong with your baby then its more than likely the doctor at fault not the dental surgan. However theres all kinds of things with any legal suit. It dependse on all kinds of details if you have a case or not, and who is really at fault.
Reply:yes
Reply:Your dentist requires your permission to perform any kind of dental work on you. Your dentist would be an idiot if he were to perform any kind of dental work knowing that he must have your doctors permission. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about this so he/she might confer with you dentist to work out a way to remove said tooth and remove your suffering.
Reply:of course they CAN, the question is more of a %26#039;will they?%26#039; if they say they cant/wont, then that means they arent going to do it. just make sure you get everything all straightened out first and good luck with ur pregnancy!(and tooth)
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t think you could sue your dentist if you willing go in to have your teeth worked on knowing the dentist didn%26#039;t have the permission of your doctor.
Reply:They Dr and the dentist should speak... but everything should be ok to be done. As long as you don%26#039;t need any IV kind of drugigng for the dental work, and only need local meds, you should be fine for any procedures. Just watch out afterward, you may not be allowed to take the major painkillers that you might normally get after major dental work. For this your Dr may be able to help, cause tooth pain can be harsh... but you want to get it done as soon as you can. You won%26#039;t have as much time after the baby is here....
